News has surfaced that Facebook, the World’s largest social networking site, is getting a pretty impressive (albeit, potentially controversial) update to it’s Facebook Photos product.

The update will suggest friends to tag in uploaded pictures, by using  facial recognition software “built in-house”.

Unbeknown to some, this auto-tagging system is already available – through 3rd party websites such as Face.com.

This feature will surely add fuel to privacy war Facebook finds itself constantly battling, however Facebook has assured users on it’s official blog, that  users will be able to opt-out of their name being suggested for tags in uploaded photos.
